The Goshen Building Department
issues building permits and enforces building codes. A building
permit is required if major improvements, such as new construction,
re-roofing, siding, or additions, are to be made to the property.

building permit. The Building Department also handles licenses for
electrical and heating contractors.
All rental units in Goshen must be registered with the Building
Department. Rental units must also have a bi-annual inspection.
