The Central Garage provides maintenance and repairs to City equipment and departments in a prompt, efficient manner to improve services to City of Goshen residents and businesses.
The Central Garage staff of 7 mechanics maintains 350 pieces of equipment/vehicles for the various City departments. It is responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs on sewer trucks, loaders, backhoes, snow removal equipment, emergency response vehicles and much more.
It is the responsibility of the Central Garage to coordinate warrantee repairs, install emergency/safety lighting on First Responders and up-fitting City Police cars with all required equipment.
The Central Garage also writes the specifications for any/new used equipment or vehicles obtained by the City.
