The purpose of the Technology Department is to provide the necessary resources for City employees to perform their daily responsibilities via email, the internet and the city-wide server, which was installed in March 2006.  Currently over 150 of the City's employees use these services on a regular basis.

The coordinator is responsible for troubleshooting both software and hardware issues; software standardization; planning for future growth; maintaining the City's website and social media; ensuring compliance of the City's email/internet policy and maintaining a Disaster Recovery Plan (hardware, software and critical applications) as required by the State Board of Accounts.
